According to the announcement, Sabrina will be released yet again in the wrong aspect ratio.

Why do you say it is the 'wrong aspect ratio'?I've looked at posters from the original release, and there is no indication it was shown in widescreen.

I will stand corrected and bow my head. I was under the impression that the Audrey Hepburn and John Wayne films were not part of the Warner Brothers/Paramount agreement. Since FUNNY FACE is coming out from WHV, I am very happy and glad I was wrong.

Same extras as the DVDs - I was hoping for at least something new in that department, but I guess all that can be said has been said. I'll stick to my Paramount Blu-rays of these.

Sabrina will be released at the proper 1.75/78 aspect ratio. There was apparently a typo.

In that case, I'll buy it. Thank you.

Wilder had initially planned SABRINA for 2.1 widescreen but settled on 1.75:1 before the start of principal photography in New York on September 28, 1953.

Wow, that's great! Have you had that confirmed to you? I only ask because the transfer on the Paramount French and UK discs is definitely 1.37:1, unfortunately. It would be brilliant if they've gone back and rejigged the transfer for the domestic release!

The last DVD release of Sabrina that I reviewed looked wonderful, but it was in open matte format which was a great disappointment. This will be great to have it corrected on Blu-ray.

Just received an official notification from Warner Bros.
Please note that previously announced Sabrina announce was incorrect. The title has been re-formatted in HDSR (4:4:4) 1080p 1.78 Full Frame Video Protection.

Amazon now has back cover artwork that confirms Sabrina will be widescreen.

That cover lists 1.85 and the correct AR is 1.75.

Well, Warner always expands its 1.85 films to 1.78. I'm not sure if that holds true for the Paramount / Warner titles.

Nearly every Warner title (inclusive of the Paramounts) lists 1.85:1 on the back cover when it's technically 1.78:1 on the disc. This niggling inaccuracy is apparently never going away.
