Thats correct ,the 70mm print of A Star is Born was pillar-boxed one of the first to do it and later we had Aliens in that format .I remember at the Odeon Marble Arch how much smaller the picture was.

Shame on you Warner!A digibook release for this crap whereas Oscar winner Mrs.Miniver is getting standard case??Let alone the fact that they decide to go with this turd for their anniversary at the expense of FAR,FAR superior films (The Big Sleep,Bringing up Baby anyone?)They have hit a new low for sure!
And stop this madness with musicals please!Stop indulging middle aged gay men as they are not only consumers of your catalogue titles alright? There are a plenty of people who appreciate good old films. Hans Christian Andersen,Cabaret,Show Boat,The Band Wagon,Eastern Parade,Raintree Country,Camelot,Gypsy. etc..really???Obviously and unfortunately gay lobby is too strong over at WHV.....Please do all of us a favor (except for gay demographic, they are thrilled with your output)..and license your complete cataloge to someone who actually care about classic films...like Olive Films or Fox.

While "Eastern Parade" and "Raintree Country" may be innocent misspellings, I will point out that Raintree County is a civil war drama, NOT a musical. It's ridiculous to list it wiith the other films. And, of course, despite what you so OFTEN keep repeating, middle-age gay men are not the only buyers of musicals. You don't like them, fine. You don't have to, and you're not alone in that. But get over the fact that others do. And in any case, this forum is NOT the place for your antiquated views on gays.

Warner Home Video just uploaded some 1080p clips up on Youtube. Looks pretty good. I'm sure the BD will be even better without all the compression.
