Home Improvement is probably the only one.

There are other series I'm interested in but I have doubts they'll ever be released in their entirety.

Both Dead Like Me box sets are on sale here in Canada at Best Buy and Future Shop for $14.99 each.
Plan to buy both tomorrow for the complete series (and gives me something to watch over the rainy long weekend)

Whenever I buy the 1st season of a TV series I plan on buying the WHOLE SERIES! That is providing the Studio, in their infinate wisdom, decides to release every season of the series in question.

I'm usually in the same camp--if I buy one season, I'll buy them all if released--but there are a couple of exceptions, most notably The Jetsons/Flintstones/Scooby-Doo. I'm glad I bought the first sets but I just can't watch these regularly.

In case Paramount and Universal happen to be reading this, I would absolutely love to be able to have the complete runs of Pete and Pete, Survivor, Amazing Race, and Saturday Night Live...

there are shows that I only want up to a certain point. I only wanted the first season of Charlie's Angels. I only want the first five years of SNL (once Bill Murray leaves, so do I). I don't want the second season of the Jetsons. No need to pick up the lost episodes of the Chapelle Shows. I don't think I could handle all of the Love, American Style episodes, but I want a good samplers - especially the Happy Days and Wait Till Your Father Gets Home episodes.

Do want the remaining Krofft shows

Being a completist at heart, I never buy a TV show that I don't plan on completing.

The shows I've completed so far :

Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Charmed
Sex and the City
Star Trek : Deep Space Nine
Will & Grace

Shows I've started collecting and plan on completing provided all episodes produced are released:

24
The 4400
Alias
Babylon 5
Battlestar Galactica (2003)
Big Love
Desperate Housewives
Everwood
Gilmore Girls
Knots Landing
Las Vegas
Melrose Place
Moonlighting
Nip/Tuck
Picket Fences
The Practice
Six Feet Under
Smallville
Star Trek : The Next Generation
Star Trek : Voyager
Twin Peaks
Weeds

I have reached the decision of not adding any new show to my collection before completing a couple of these (Alias, Moonlighting and Twin Peaks are on top of my list, as I only have one season left to go for each).

I had planned on getting all of NYPD Blue. That's probably a pipe dream now though. While I still hold a thread of hope, I'll be very surprised if FOX continues releasing them.
