Yep, they are starting to liquidate their consumer hardware business and put an end to WebOs... wah-wah!

To be honest, out of all the tablets I've played with (which is a lot) it was the least. By far.

MADNESS!!!!!
They are selling all existing stock 99 for the 16 and $149 for the 32s, they just sold several hundred thousand of them, only the 32s are left in stock at HP direct, go stand in line right now if you want the price at Best Buy in the AM =)

I liked webOS. I thought it had some smart design. I wanted it to succeed. Marco astutely observes how it was never a good system, always six months away from being awesome.

I like the random speculation that Amazon will buy it, and change their rumored tablet to webOS from Android :)

I just can't see anyone at HP designing something that would surpass Apple's immaculate polish or Android's eye-popping spec list. Nokia's camera is also out of reach. So where are they positioning themselves? What is the single reason you would even glance sideways at an HP phone? Not to mention that it would probably take a few iterations before they had to kind of culture to design anything worth buying over the market leaders. This is HP -- they would kill the phone division for losing money before anything like that could take root. If HP showed themselves to be a little more farsighted and really committed to the handheld market, I might think they have a glimmer of hope. But Meg sounds like a dilettante here. If she really had some sort of foresight or insight into the mobile market, she wouldn't have waited a whole year after shutting down their phone and tablet divisions before saying they need to get into the phone market.
