MAVERICK - either a complete series release or by season
BRET MAVERICK - short series
YOUNG MAVERICK - short series
SANFORD - spin off of Sanford & Son
GRADY - short lived spinoff of Sanford & Son
GET A LIFE - Chris Elliot sitcom that aired on FOX.
The biggest surprise would be if Warner Bros would start releasing a lot of the television programs from it's WESTERN catalog.

I would be pleasantly surprised if we got season 4 and 5 of Diagnosis Murder. Loved that show.

I would love to see more Cheyenne and would snap that up in a heartbeat. Also, any of the Warner Bros. detective shows from the 50's and 60's.

Same here. I am hoping they start putting those out through the Warner Archive series.

Warner said that the main reason why seasons 5 & 6 haven't been released is due to music rights issues.

But is that really the reason, or is Warner just looking for excuses to pull out of thin air?

I would really like to see them start releasing In the Heat of the Night. I have not found out anything as far as this ever coming out on DVDs.

Would love to see for 2010:

1. Carol Burnett
2. In the Heat of the Night
3. S.W.A.T. (where is season 2!!!!)
4. More Law & Order: Criminal Intent ( took too long for S4 to come out)

"Man from Atlantis" and, most recently, "Then Came Bronson." There are a couple of failed Gene Roddenberry sci-fi pilots among the made-for-TV movies as well. If they've made the commitment to release the TV movies, they surely must be thinking of TV series as well.
Unfortunately though (and correct me if I'm wrong), people outside the US won't be able to purchase anything from Warner Archive. So if they decided to release Midnight Caller and the rest of Knots Landing people in for example Canada and the UK wouldn't be able to purchase the DVDs or DVD boxsets.

I have a few thoughts and comments about what you've posted:

Leave it to Beaver - I thought I read somewhere that they were looking at a complete series set of this one sometime down the road. Is that a fact or was it just rumor?

Streets of San Francisco - I have the first two seasons of this one. What are the music rights issues with season 3? Is that a specific episode or the whole season. I know the majority of the companies aren't shy about altering or cutting things out. :)

Now what would be cool seeing as Sony just loves to re-release product without finishing the jobs they've started is to do complete series sets of All in the Family and Archie Bunkers Place. I know they did this with Sanford and Son / Good Times etc. and while I'm not a fan of the spindle approach that these complete sets are housed in, it would be nice to just finish them up already.

I can only speak for All in the Family and ABP as those are the two I'm collecting but I know the Jeffersons are stalled as well as some other Sony series. Instead of season 7, we've had a re-release of season 1 on that Norman Lear Collection (not to mention the addition of BOTH pilots - another fine example of Sony insulting their customers) and a rerelease of the first 6 seasons in new packaging.

If they wouldn't go the complete series route maybe they would go MOD with some of these remaining series provided they would be uncut.

Just my thoughts...good thread here.

I would like to see the Courtship of Eddie's Father out too. Good show.
