However, the latest prime95 is slightly different from its predecessers - it may be harder to find the "Test Benchmark" menu item, which is what you want to use when testing your hardware. What it does is make a few million calculations, and checks the results against known answers. Any incorrect results are flagged.
Also, your Windows XP machine should be configured to NOT reboot when it crashes. The error "message" you posted is basically useless, as it only tells you where it put the error messages, NOT what they actually are.
To enable the blue screen of death, do: Start->Control Panel->System->Advanced. Click on Settings in the "Startup and Recovery" section, then UNCHECK the "Automatically restart" checkbox. Then click on OK.
