Well, in just two months yet another Warner Brothers Home Entertainment representative online questions-and-answer session will (likely) be held so it would seem to be time to revive this discussion thread once again.

Hopefully, definite word will be made pertaining to an imminent DVD release of THE BOWERY BOYS scheduled for some time in 2008!

In the interim with the excellent start of having made available the (former) Allied Artists Pictures Corporation 1950s SF B-film programmers ATTACK OF THE 50-FOOT WOMAN (1958), QUEEN OF OUTER SPACE (1958) and THE GIANT BEHEMOTH (1959) all idigitally remastered and newly restored in excellent pristine quality how about making more of these high-demand AA cult classic titles available?!

FLIGHT TO MARS (1951)
THE MAZE (1954)
TARGET EARTH (1954)
WORLD WITHOUT END (1956) * This one is VERY high priority!
INDESTRUCTIBLE MAN (1956)
THE ATOMIC MAN (1956)
ATTACK OF THE CRAB MONSTERS (1957)
NOT OF THIS EARTH (1957)
THE CYCLOPS (1957)
DAUGHTER OF DR. JEKYLL (1957)
FROM HELL IT CAME (1957)
THE DISEMBODIED (1957)
FRANKENSTEIN 1970 (1958)
WAR OF THE SATELLITES (1958)
MACABRE (1958)
THE BAT (1959)
THE COSMIC MAN (1959)
CALTIKI, THE IMMORTAL MONSTER (1959)
THE ATOMIC SUBMARINE (1959)
BLUEBEARD'S TEN HONEYMOONS (1959)
THE WASP WOMAN (1959)

and from the 1960s:

THE LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS (1960)
THE HYPNOTIC EYE (1960)
THE LAST WOMAN ON EARTH (1960)
ATLAS (1960)
CONFESSIONS OF AN OPION EATER (1962)
BLACK ZOO (1963)
THE STRANGLER (1964)
CURSE OF THE VOODOO (1965)
FRANKENSTEIN MEETS THE SPACE MONSTER (1965)

Don't stop now! You have only just begun tapping into this great stuff!

I would say that there is still a good chance of seeing the rumored WB Vol 2 Box set for Gary Cooper released this May that John Mulholland told me about 6 months ago. The contention has always been that John Wayne war movies sell but I hold to the evidence at amazon for Sergant York which is currently the 2nd best selling war movie with only Saving Private Ryan beating it. At the time of this posting it is even beating out Flags of Our Fathers and is ranked 930 for all dvd sales a year after it's release.

Also to the great dimay of most Howard Hawks fans it is out selling all other Howard Hawks movies by a very wide margin and is currently ranked at number 1 of which it should be since it was by far the greatest Howard Hawks movie ever made.

Also, I would like to add that Friendly persuasion another gem of Coop's WB titles is at 17 currently for best selling war movies and was at number 5 yesterday.

Also for best selling Gary Cooper movies all of the top four are owned by WB except for the number one High Noon. Sgt York at number 2, Friendly Persusion at number 3 and The Fountainhead at number 4 so all hope is that this will warrent another box set For Gary Cooper by WB with all his remaining titles and hopefully the Hanging Tree in either restored or semi-restored shape. Love in the Afternoon is even at number 8 with the box set at 11.
