Mains--NHT 2.9
Center-Boston Acoustics VR-12 ( neutral in tone and outstanding performance
so chose to keep in main system).
Rears-Definitive BPX Bipolar
Rear Ctr-Klipsch RB-15 reference series (wasn't using the pair so why not!!)
Subwoofer-Energy Exl-S10
Not brand matched anymore, however speaker system started as complete Boston Acoustics VR series front & rear, and upgraded from there (I chose to go with best performance vs cost, over everything the same brand)..... System is completely seamless in surround performance, and music is only listened to in two channel stereo, unless true surround/sacd, etc recording.......

I had a pair of VOT's that we built from a kit back in 1972. We also built a Dynaco pre-amp and Heathkit poweramp to go with it. We could only run about 10 watts RMS into them and still stay in the same room.
My Def Tech's are powered by a 200 watt per channel power amp so they have plenty of room to breathe. I love to run a nice surround DVD like The Eagles Hell Freezes Over into them. They really shine with music.
I would love to see someone what a bipolar MTM arrangement with a horn replacing the dome tweeter.
