I am buying an XBOX this week and I was wondering where I could find the best deal. Right now, I am gung-ho about KB's "Buy 2 games and console, get $30 off" deal. Are there any better deals than this? (just making sure, I am an informed consumer :D )

The KB in West Los Angeles had a slightly different deal:

XBox + 1 game = $10 off

XBox + 2 games = $25 off

XBox + 3 games = $50 off

Maybe this varies from store to store? Or state to state?

Costco has a bundle of the console, an extra controller and two games (Halo and NBA) for $300. It's not in stock in the SF store, but you can get it online.

Rob,

Costco & KB looks like their the only retail stores that is offering discounts. At those prices your getting a system for a steal.

Just remember to buy HALO!!!!

Well, I am graduating High School tomorrow, got a Target Gift Cerfificate from Grandma... so I think I'll go there. :)
Oh, believe me... I already hit KB TOYS... I bought 3 controllers and a DVD kit, and I already picked up a used Advanced AV pack for $5 from one of our HTF members.
Thanks for your help guys! :D

This weekend Circuit City has the X-BOX on sale for $199.99

Don't know how that stacks up with the other deals though?

There was just a markdown on X-Box; it should be $199.99 everywhere now for a standard system. Same for PSX2.
Gamecube is $149.99 standard now. PS1 is $49.99.
Gonna go play with my Intellivision now... :D

LOL dave Intellivision. I still have that somewhere in the house with a bunch of games. But i have my SW Empire Strikes Back up here in my closet for some reason. I found it while cleaning.

As for Xbox. I am thinking i might eventually get one down the road if its cheap enough. While picking up GTA3 for PC at Shop and Save Games (owened by EB) they have this trade in Deal. PS, Dreamcast or N64 and 10 games and you get $100 off a new system so Xbox comes out to $99. I have a dreamcast lying around with a bunch of cheaper games. Maybe ill trade it in one day. But my N64 is staying pat. GOtta have BOND :)

Like Joey said I think the EB deal is the best. Turn in a console (n64, ps1, or dreamcast) and 10 games and get 100 dollars off you GC, PS2, or Xbox. Ill probably be doing the same soon. That way all you pay is 99.99 for your xbox ;)

Well... I got the XBOX today from Circuit City with Jet Set Radio Future (it was on sale for $37.99). They even talked me into a $30 replacement plan (which I will probably never use, but gives me peace of mind). Thanks for your help everybody! :D

Depending on your machine/games, that could be a terrible deal.

Rob,

I bought BB's 2 year replacement policy for $25. It's worth it for the piece of mind. My first playstation went belly up in 12 months. I figure if it lasts two years, it's gonna last a while. If it's defective, it will show itself within that time frame. Plus $12.50 a year isn't all that much. Not compared to the potential replacement cost!

Sears is having a 10% off sale and if you use your Sears card you can get an additional 10% off. In store only. If you buy online you can get only 10% off. Instore price = $162 plus tax. Not bad!!:emoji_thumbsup:
