What happened to South Park? (1 Viewer)

My Tivo hasn't recorded a new episode of
South Park in months.

Is the show coming back?


Meanwhile a co-worker mentioned there
was some sort of episode or perhaps
mini-video devoted to Avatar?

There have not been any new shows
since that movie premiered so I have
no idea what that might be about.

It's the usual break between seasons. They've been running from March through November/December since season 6, with a break during the summer. The next new episode is on March 17th.

^ To add to that, I'm pretty sure that they're under contract through 2011. So there's at least 2 more seasons of the show.

I had a hard time finding a South Park thread...

I was LMAO with the S22 E09 "Unfulfilled". There's a bit of a takeoff on the Star Trek episode "The Menagerie" and a reference to the blind witches segment of "Clash of the Titans". They really hit it out of the park.
