Mustang, no Virginian purchase for this year? I buy more then just Westerns but I do buy a lot of them. Thanks for the Zane Grey Theatre reference. I've seen it show up in my Amazon list of "other things you might be interested in", but I never actually looked into it. Now that I did based in your post I have season 1 ordered.
Wagon Train season one, when it comes down to a bargain price (it's already come down quite a bit on Amazon). I hope it's as good as I remember it, it was 50 years ago.
Greetings Brad From Down Under

That's all I can afford now I'm hoping to get the job at the casino for security that pays good, if I do get it, Then I can buy lots of DVD's like I used to before!
Since I collect shows mainly from the 60's and 70's I don't think I will be buying much at all. At this date, Hawaii Five O season 8 seems to be the only pre-order I have. I don't see any other releases planned for this year which I am interested in.
It is sad that releases have dropped off so much. Many shows still need to be released or series finished.
I've Pre-Ordered the Complete series of Leave it to Beaver, and I plan to purchase Seasons 6, 7 and 8 of Hawaii Five-O later this summer. I also have my eyes on Magnum P.I. and The Rockford Files later this year. I keep hoping year after year that the Star Trek sets will come down in price, as it is now I REFUSE to pay $40 to $70 a season for those sets!
i am spending this year to close out some of the dvds that are already available, like
1. Voyage to the bottom of Sea (S2, S3 and S4-Volume1)
2. Cheers S6
3. Enterprise S3
4. Man From Uncle (complete series)
5. Seinfeld (Complete Series)
I will be shopping for bargains, but, i have most of the shows i wanted to collect. There are few stranglers out there, but, i have lost confidence some shows will be released further like Growing Pains, WKRP, Benson, One Day at a Time, Fantasy Island, CHiPs, etc.
Has anyone notice it has been a very quiet year so far for releases. It makes me think the studios will be scaling back their dvd releases until the economy picks up or maybe the market now it was the market is going to be in the future. If you look at what has been announce for May-June so far, then you see it has been very weak. I am very hesitant to buy dvd for 1st season of show that will not be released past 1st season. I know it is catch 22 if you dont buy the season then there is no hope for future releases. However, it would be nice to see a product road map by the studios.
