I guess I'm (mostly) a fanboy too, 5/10 are the Allman Brothers.

    1. Goin Down Slow (Allman Brothers)
    2. Statesboro Blues (Allman Brothers)
    3. In Memory of Elizabeth Reed (Allman Brothers)
    4. Drunken Hearted Boy (Allman Brothers)
    5. Woke Up this Morning (Black Crowes)
    6. Can't Find My Way Home (Blind Faith)
    7. Leaving Trunk (Derek trucks Band)
    8. Red House (Frank Marino)
    9. Southbound (Allman Brothers)
    10. Lazy (Deep Purple)

    1. Johnny Nash - I Can See Clearly Now
    2. Barry McGuire - Eve of Destruction
    3. Syd Barrett - Bob Dylan Blues
    4. The Beatles - Carry That Weight
    5. Sam Cooke - Twistin' the Night Away
    6. Sam Cooke - Bring It On Home to Me
    7. The Beatles - Her Majesty
    8. Edison Lighthouse - Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes)
    9. Paul Simon - Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard
    10. The Rolling Stones - I'm Free (Damn that credit card commercial...)

The numbers are skewed though, because my library had to be completely reentered a couple months ago. Interesting that none of the songs come any later than the 1970's though.

    Hmm.

    1. I Will Wait for You - Buddy Merrill
    2. Mr. Sellack - The Roches
    3. The Happening - Supremes
    4. Headknocker - Foreigner
    5. Count on Me - Jefferson Starship
    6. Mele Kalikimaka - Jimmy Buffett
    7. The Windmills of Your Mind - Dusty Springfield
    8. Don't Stop Me Now - Queen
    9. The Godfather Waltz - Nina Rota
    10. Beth - Kiss

That's a pretty biased list though, cause it's mostly single songs I've downloaded from Itunes and then listened to a bunch. Normally, I listen to whole albums, and you'd get a lot more Beatles and stuff.

Ive had itunes for about 4 years, and didnt even know you could look at a play count. I just looked for the first time.

    1. Dangerous Power (Cicada Full Vocal Mix) - Gabriel & Dresden
    2. Gone Still - Nine Inch Nails
    3. One More Minute - Authority Zero
    4. Happy - Fischerspooner
    5. Breathe (Tiga Remix) - Telepopmusik
    6. Into The Trees (Serenetti Part 3) - Trentemoller
    7. They Came In - Butthole Surfers
    8. In White Rooms - Booka Shade
    9. My Violent Heart - Nine Inch Nails
    10. All About You - Cicada

What's weird is, I I think if you would ask me to name my favorite 10 songs I have on there, it wouldnt look like my most played list. But I cant disagree with the facts.. I listen to those songs... ALOT. I just got a new PC recently... I think these are the most played since then.

    01) Love Me Or Hate Me - Lady Sovereign
    02) I Want Your Love - Transvision Vamp
    03) Louise - The Human League
    04) Rainy Days and Mondays - The Carpenters
    05) Glamorous - Fergie
    06) With You - Jill Jones

    08) Cindy C. - Prince

Kind of an odd mix now that I look at it. Of course I reinstalled iTunes a few months ago, so it's not years of data.

Now, the list of songs I have in iTunes which are on other people's lists...

    shoot the moon (norah jones)
    air (bach)
Lazy (Deep Purple) (actually, not, but damn I love that song and I have the CD, so into iTunes it goes.)
Don't Stop Me Now - Queen (Yes, George and I have a song in common, since the entire Queen catalog is in my iTunes)
My Violent Heart - Nine Inch Nails
Perfect - Fairground Attraction (Way to GO!!! Jim F)
Aerosmith--Baby, Please Don't Go (as well as the FAR superior Webb Wilder version)
Peter Gabriel--In Your Eyes (because Peter Gabriel is GOD)

And finally, the next 10 songs in my party shuffle, the way I typically listen to iTunes here in my office...

    1) I'm Cryin' - Stevie Ray Vaughan
    2) The Difference - The Wallflowers
    3) Walk Away - Joe Walsh
    4) Garden - William Ackerman
    5) Cul-de-sac - Genesis
    6) Magical World - Blackmore's Night
    7) Walk All Over You - AC/DC
    8) The Vultures Fly High - Renaissance
    9) Goodbye - Elton John
    10) Russian Sailor's Dance - GliƩre

Just to show I listen to more than Goth Metal. It's just that when I specifically select a song, it's usually because I'm a bit pissed off, and that means Goth Metal. So, those end up with the most plays.

    I'm done now.

Strange how differently you relate to music vs film. Someone started a favorite movies thread and I could have picked anyone's entry and enjoyed 8/10. For the music side it's not even close. (And I owe you one Mr. G. Kaplan - I can't get that damn The Windmills of Your Mind out of my head!)

On the plus side I can't wait to sample the FAR superior Webb Wilder version of Baby, Please Don't Go.

And that was fun John, so here are songs on other peoples lists that are on my iTunes Favorites list:

Paul Simon - Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard
Don't Stop Me Now - Queen
From the Beginning-Emerson, Lake & Palmer
    Kashmir - Led Zeppelin
Looking Out My Back Door - Credence Clearwater Revival
    Aerosmith--Baby, Please Don't Go
    Peter Gabriel--In Your Eyes
