And honorable mention to THE RED SHOES, LA DOLCE VITA, the original STAR WARS trilogy, THE THIEF OF BAGDAD(1940) and THE OLD DARK HOUSE(1932-using the immaculate 35mm print that showed at revival houses a few years ago as source material rather than the 16mm dupe that was used for the DVD release).

Live Action:

Apocalypse Now (Both Versions)
Paths of Glory (and/or Saving Private Ryan)
Das Boot

Animation:

Bambi
The Plague Dogs
The Incredibles (and/or The Iron Giant)

The fact is that it is hard to pick just three. Coming up with those, I thought of a whole bunch more I'd like to see.

Because they didn't have proper anamorphic DVD releases:

1. The Rocketeer
2. The American President
3. The Abyss

At the moment...

Extended Director's Cut of Terminator: Salvation
(not the 3 minutes longer "Let's Pretend It's The Director's Cut" that is coming)

Aside from the usual A-list titles (Indy, SW, BTTF, etc.) and double-dips I'm waiting for (Predator, Robocop, etc.), my top 3 are:

1. Barry Lyndon (in WB's book-style packaging and with plenty of bonus material... perhaps they can include the Channel 4 documentary "Stanley Kubrick's Boxes")

2. The Abyss (with both versions and ALL the existing DVD features including the LD supplements)

3. The Blues Brothers (with both versions... hopefully they'll do a new HD transfer since the one that aired on HDNet a couple years ago has an error)

Honorable mentions: Lawrence of Arabia, True Lies, Star Trek: The Motion Picture - The Director's Edition, Brazil, Animal House, Airplane!, and Executive Decision (it's a guilty pleasure and the DVD was one of the first ones released)

I left off Ben-Hur because it has been announced as coming this year or next.

1. Lawrence of Arabia
2. Barry Lyndon
3. Apocalypse Now

(Especially if they're loaded with heaps of detail-rich, technically-oriented extras).

Avoiding the obvious (Star Wars, Indy, BTTF, etc) that will be coming eventually, I would like to add

1. "This Is Cinerama" (in SmileBox)
2. "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" (fully restored roadshow version)
3. "Westworld"
