Extremely intersting question, maybe especially in this day and age of emerging digital amplification!!!!!

With that said, I like heavy!!!!
I'm old school and out dated though in all honesty.

Well, my THIRD Rotel RSX-1056 is having problems, so luckily my dealer just started selling the Marantz 8500, which I will be picking up today.

Rotel is having a very bad run on the 1056's in the last few months.

Even their "stepped up" Quality Control unit which unboxed the receivers when they hit the U.S. shores, tested them, and then reboxed them with a GREEN dot on the box hasn't worked for me. This last receiver had the green dot.

Now, apparently they have "better" QC. I'm not willing to take that chance.

Marantz it is for me!
