The Disclaimer Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain!
If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

Those TCM Collections would be no-brainers if I didn't already own most of the titles! Otherwise, nothing for me...

There's a $10 of coupon that can be printed here: disney.go.com/disneymovierewards/snowwhite/. I'm wondering if it can be used for this pre-order when picking up the disc. I found the coupon on the AVS forum.

I'll either pick up Heroes: Season Three or Supernatural: Season Four on Blu-ray this week and grab the other at some point down the road. And I'm sticking with DVDs for CSI but I'll definitely wait for a sale on the new set.

I don't feel the need to own it but I saw State Of Play in the theaters and it's pretty good.

Thanks for the prices, guys!

Just Braveheart on Blu for me this week. Would have loved to take advantage of the $10 off deal when buying it with Gladiator, but it's become clear that there are serious problems with that transfer.

Anyone tried the $10 off code via text message?

This type of stuff always makes me extra twitchy. Like getting signed up for some $9.99 per month service
that I neither need or want.

Why can't BB just use a regular old coupon?

-----------------------------------------

So...it appears that this is in fact a scam to sign you up for a "billed automatically to your cell phone account of $9.99 per month" for some download ring tones, graphics and who knows what else. After getting 3 text message responses that NEVER contained a coupon code I texted the word STOP to 75555 and received a cancellation of my $9.99 a month account. Guess we will see now if it is really canceled or not.

-------------------------------------------

Sent an email to Best Buy about this situation. Will see if I get a response AND a coupon code. People are really gonna be PO'd when they get their cell phone bill and see a $9.99 charge for a $10 coupon code or worse yet a $5 coupon code.

------------------------------------------

And a response from Best Buy:

I just received your email and I wanted to apologize for any trouble that you were having with the X-Men texting promotion that was being offered. I could imagine that it would be rather upsetting to not receive the code for the X-Men Trilogy.

I did look into the issue and found out that there was an error in the advertisement and it is supposed to be "xmen" without the dash.

- So there you have it, it should be "xmen" with the quotes. I have not tried the "correct" way yet, so if anyone else does and it works please let me know.

I also saw it in the theaters and will pick it up (I really liked it), but maybe not this week. $26 just seems too high.

Ditto on the thanks.

At the risk of sounding completely unintelligent, I *might* snag Braveheart and Gladiator at the end of the week. I'm on the fence because I don't particularly care for either film, but it's been a LONG time since I gave either a decent shot. It'll all depend on what I find-or rather, don't find-at the Buy 3 Get the 4th free used BD bin at FYE. (Made out good two weeks ago...)

Thanks guys!

Gladiator is being criticized for a sub-par transfer.

One of the other reasons I'm on the fence about it. Prolly should have mentioned that... :)

Just thought I'd add a note that the summer doldrums are about to end. There are a number of high-profile titles which start to make their way into the pipeline in the next few weeks as we start to close in on the final quarter of 2009!

About time. It's been kind of quiet lately!

If you didn't grab the Target exclusive edition of Heroes S3 first thing yesterday morning, you may be out of luck. Doesn't seem like there are that many out there.

I forgot to post this earlier, but I started a thread in the Music forum: Best Buy is offering an exclusive on the Queen + Paul Rodgers "Live in Ukraine", either a single DVD ($9.99, reg. $11.99) or 2CD/1DVD set ($12.99, reg. $15.99, IIRC). Prices are good through Saturday.
