The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

Hey everybody!

Sorry for the abridged version of this week's RoundUp.

I am taking care of some family business this week and am not able to complete my work.

Feel free to fill in the blanks! Especially the specials listed in this Sunday flyers for both Best Buy and Target.

Catch ya on the flip side.

Thanks, Mike, for the round-up! I hope all is ok with the family.

42 is a wonderful and powerful film and one that I will eventually pick up, but not until the price comes down a bit. Is the Amazon listing correct that this has no special features? There is so much that could have been done to supplement this disc. Maybe that's coming later.

I know Upgrade and Save is back at Best Buy starting this week. They also have Oz (the non-3D) version for $19.99, minus the $5 U/S coupon, which makes the disc $14.99. That's all that's on my list this week.'

I hope everyone's alright on your end, Mike!

Based on a review I'm skimming, there are three featurettes. They run a total of just under a half hour.

You do have to wonder if another release is already on the drawing board.

Thanks for the RoundUp Mike. I've been thankful for the last several weeks where there hasn't been too much I'm interested in or where I'm willing to wait (42) or just rent (Bullet to the Head). I'm spending enough on Criterion discs at Barnes & Noble's sale.

I'll probably pick up Evil Dead with the $5 upgrade and save coupons. About the only Blu-rays that I want to buy are pretty deep catalog titles so I don't know how much other use I'm going to get from the U&S coupon this time around (still nice that it's there though).

Thanks for the prices, Mike! :)

I have a few things to trade at Best Buy. I always wonder if I will find anything, but somehow I manage every time.

Picked up 11 today and didn't have to work that hard.

Smashed, Rust and Bone, and Winter in Wartime for 4.99

Lots of BBC TV shows incl the original House of Cards trilogy for 14.99 AC which I was more than happy to pick up

S5 Doctor Who for 14.99 AC I think this is the lowest it's ever been

Samsara for 7.99 (Baraka also but already had that).

Anyone know what the "bonus content" of 42 is on theTarget exclusive besides the slipcover?
From the back packaging: Two featurettes called "A Partnership for the Ages". and "Net Impact". Presumably the latter is the episode of the Comcast Sports Network series that covered Robinson and the movie that originally aired last April.

Pretty happy today: stopped at BB for Upgrade and Save. Walked out with Oz, Predators, Liar Liar, BSG movie 2 pack and Lawrence of Arabia for $45 with tax. Of course, I'm leaving for San Diego tomorrow so, as usual, I don't anticipate watching any of this for a long time.

Saw Target had the UK Shameless release for $5 in their bargain TV area. Also saw Matlock S9 and George Lopez S3 for $19.99 each at Wal-Mart.

For those wanting the final season of Matlock, Walmart is selling it for $19.99. They seem to carry a lot of the CBS/P releases at that price point whereas Amazon et al are usually close to double that.

Thanks for the tip. I had actually requested to review the last season of Matlock, but CBS/P didn't send it.
