I just posted this in last week's thread, but I that it might be overlooked there. The Film Noir, v.2 box set appeared this weekend at my Sam's for $32.47.

Kind of PO'd about the lack of a good price on A Very Long Engagement. Oh well, great movie, I recommend it highly. :emoji_thumbsup:

Looks like a single title week for me with the Criterion "Unfaithfully Yours". You can't have too much Preston Sturges, after all. (If you could, though, it would probably be one of those awful looking PD transfers of "The Sin of Harold Diddledock").

DVDPriceSearch.com shows Bad News Bears Triple Play with a Tuesday (07/12/05) release date:
http://www.dvdpricesearch.com/cgi-bi...&tmpCart=46053
A release this week or next would make sense since the remake hits theaters 07/22/05.

Most of the retailers are reflecting a release this week. Just in case it is released this week, here are some prices:
Amazon $18.74 (states 08/30/05 release date)
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...s=dvd&n=507846
Best Buy $16.99 (states 07/12/05 release date)
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....uct&id=1431648
Circuit City $19.99 (states 07/12/05 release date)
http://entertainment.circuitcity.com...d=PRT031714DVD
Deep Discount DVD $15.95 (states 07/12/05 release date)
http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/dvd.c...71&promotion=y
WalMart.com $21.24 (states 07/12/05 release date)
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...13422729713220

Mike - Your efforts week-in and week-out are truely appreciated. I only researched one title and can't begin to imagine the time involved in researching the lists of titles that you do every week and then posting the results for all. A very big thanks to you. Not to be overlooked, thank you Patrick for keeping us all abreast of the catalog title deals and pinch-hitting for Mike when he's away.

Are the movie discs in the Bill & Ted collection identical to the existing releases? (I know that there's a third disc of extra material.)

Target has an online coupon available that is good for $3 off when you purchase Million Dollar Baby and Mystic River on the same receipt. With M$B at $16.99 and MR on sale through Sat. for $10, it's seems like a pretty good deal. The coupon is good through 7/30.

There have been some quite polarized opinions on Million Dollar Baby. Some people really hated the manipulation by the filmakers. So, I would recommend against a blind buy.

Anyone looking for the Bill & Ted set, check out Wal-Mart. Obviously, their prices vary from store to store, but I picked it up today at my local store (Queensbury, NY) for the sale price of $16.96 (regular price marked $19.96).

I saw the BNB Triple Play box at Best Buy today - I guess I was expecting some kind of digipack, but it's all three original releases repackaged into a box.

I believe that all of the Mickey cartoons have now been released on the Treasures sets, certainly all of the black & white ones.

One addition to my post above re: the new Bill & Ted box. Now that I had a chance to open it after I got home from work tonight, the movie keepcases are identical to the original releases (even down to the 2001 copyright date on them). HOWEVER, the inserts included originally are not in included with the box sets. That appears to be the only difference between the movies in the box set and the original releases.

Nathan,

That is correct. All of the Mickey theatrical cartoons, both black & white and color, have been released on the 4 volumes of Mickey treasures.
