The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

That $19.99 price for Shoah at Best Buy seems too good to be true...

I don't find Shoah listed on bestbuy.com but I did search Criterions and they have (or still have?) a 50%-off sale going on.

Like Mama always said, "if something is too good to be true, it usually is."

Sorry fellas. I am still getting used to compiling the WRU in this all new way and am still trying to feel my way through the process. Thanks for your eagle eyes.

Bestbuy.com did NOT have any listing for Shoah. I thought that was rather strange...but it IS kinda an unusual title. Maybe they figured it wouldn't get much play from their customers?

As I said in the review thread, I'll wait for the next B&N sale for Shoah.

Help! and a few titles from past weeks for me, thanks for the update!

Again, I caution people not to buy those imports from Amazon USA, but use Amazon UK because they're cheaper there than what Amazon USA is charging for them. I've bought all those titles weeks ago and in one case months ago at much cheaper prices than what's noted in this bargain week.

I may have to bite on some of those HBO titles...but we'll see. I hear really good things about The Newsroom.

Did you get The War Wagon? And, if so, is it really Region B only?
I watched it earlier today and it's all regions. At least the one I bought from Amazon UK is.

Edit: For those interested in The War Wagon and The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence blu-rays. You can buy both titles from the Amazon UK site for $30.31 total which is about $15.15 each. I've been getting my UK orders in a week's time to Michigan.

Robert, how is the transfer on The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence?

I thought it looked fine, but there is one member here in particular that insists it looks like video and not film.

Nothing for me this week. I thought The Incredible Burt Wonderstone had some funny stuff in it but given the lack of laughter when I saw it in the theater, I was in the minority.

I thought it was very good. If you're a fan of other Sorkin shows, I'd be surprised if you didn't like this one too.

I did have the review for Shoah up on Friday, Mike, so you must have forgotten to link to it. (It's here.) Of course, Fox has not sent the Phantom review copy yet.

A pretty slim week for me. Maybe Help! somewhere down the road, but that's about it.

The tables are looking really snazzy, Mike. Great work!

Yup, I am. SportsNight and Studio 60...and the pieces of The West Wing I've seen.

Walmart seems to have many of the steelbook combo pack releases for $9.98 to $12.98. In fact, the store I visited already had them out last week, too, as I bought several of them last Wednesday.

Beatles HELP! for me this week. Taking the kiddies to see McCartney next month and they're slowly getting excited by exploring some Beatles. They should enjoy watching this.

Where can I find Help on Blu-Ray for a good price? Wal-Mart says on their .com that it would be available in stores. I went to the store about 2:45 PM and they were just putting out the new releases! I asked the Wal-Mart employee where it was and he said it should be in on Thursday! Thanks for any suggestions.
