The Disclaimer
Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.
I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain!
If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you
want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!
Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

I've cut my spending on DVDs and Blu-rays significantly, but I'll be grabbing Argo (my personal choice for best picture) this week. I'll be getting On the Waterfront at a later date.

A lot of stuff when it comes down in price (Argo, Top Gun, Monster's Inc, BSG)...but I'm hoping to get some of the HBO stuff on Wednesday.

I'll be picking up Argo, The Terminator and maybe Battlestar Galactica. If someone is looking for a scary movie, Sinister certainly fits the bill and is worth a rental. Thanks for the prices, Mike! :)

Really hate when Target has far and away the best price/an exclusive I really want, because they never stock enough copies of the big titles, and there's no in-store pickup option. I just know they're going to be sold out of Game of Thrones: Season 2 by the time I get out of work on Tuesday. Now I have to decide whether I want to head out early on Tuesday so I can be at the doors at 8 AM and grab a copy before work.

Well...I think that's exactly what you should do.

Looks like Amazon is trolling for the Game of Thrones S2 Blu crowd since it just matched Targets 29.99 price tag (no extras), but Target.com hasn't even lowered their price yet.

Spurred on by Mike's recommendation :), I was standing outside Target at 8 AM this morning. As much as I hated to drag myself out the door any earlier than I possibly had to, it's probably the smoothest a trip to Target has ever gone. I was in and out in five minutes, no wait at the register. They have the Target exclusive version and the regular version shelved side-by-side, with $59.99 listed as the shelf price for the former, and $49.99 list as the shelf price for the latter. But if you take the Target exclusive version to a price scanner, it gives you the $29.99 price. Odd that they wouldn't want to advertise their loss leader. The Target exclusive bonus disc for "Game of Thrones: Season 2" is a packaged in a separate slim blu case, and it's the Target disc that appears to have the digital copy on it. This extra case is shrinkwrapped together with the normal, non-Target-exclusive Blu-Ray box set.

Wow. It's been a very long time since the thought of paying over $30 for a single movie has even crossed my mind. (And, yes, it's been a very long time since I've purchased any Criterion titles. . .)
