The Disclaimer
Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.
I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain!
If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you
want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!
Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

Thanks Mike. Taken 2 for me, I loved the first one so this will be a blind buy. I will have to look at the BestBuy.com tomorrow and see if there are any deals on Chuck Season 5 Blu-ray.

Happy to see the Best Buy upgrade program back in force, because I have a few DVDs sitting here that in Amazon's trade-in program won't even come close to seeing five bucks. Of course, that only works for me if the store has a few BLUs in stock that I actually want. So, we'll see. Thanks, Mike!

Upgrading the 3 LotR theatrical versions to go alongside the extended cuts. I think that's about it... Thanks Mike!

I'll pick up The Man Who Knew Too Much and Life's Too Short: Season One this week. I HIGHLY recommend Life's Too Short to any Ricky Gervais fans out there. It's just as funny (maybe even funnier in some spots) as his work on The Office or Extras. Thanks for the prices, Mike! :)

I hope to have the review for Won't Back Down up early this evening. I'm slated to review others on this week's list, but I don't have them yet.
Thanks for the RoundUp, Mike.

Perry Mason Se 8 V2 is available from deepdiscount.com for $29.99, substantially less than Amazon. My pre-order was $33 so it's come down even more. Earlier releases are as low as $9.89. I'll also be getting the Man Who Knew Too Much. Originally I was going to wait until the next B&N sale, but the Amazon price is quite competitive. Thanks as always for the Round-Up, Mike!

I'll pick up The Man Who Knew Too Much next time Barnes & Noble has a 50 percent off Criterion sale. I'm still working my way through the Universal box set, so I've got plenty of Hitchcock to keep me busy in the mean time. Otherwise, nothing for me this week. Thanks as always, Mike.

Hey, Adam (Gregorich)!
This is from your post in the Fox MOD thread:

The winning titles will be in the original aspect ratio and have digital restorations. More info will be coming next week, but for now here is all we are saying: http://www.hometheaterforum.com/a/fox-vote-your-choice[/font]
Did Titanic get delayed? I'm not seeing it this week along with all the others.

What a terrible experience at BB today. First, I get there five minutes after they open and proceed to wait in line at Customer "Service" for at least 10 minutes, only to be told the Upgrade program is not in effect this week. After I suggest the associate check the weekly flyer, he does so and disappears to talk to someone about the lack of coupons for the trade in. They apparently find the coupons online but can't print them off. (Um, press print?) Anyway, I'm at Customer "Service" for at least 20 minutes total when a gentleman two customers behind me tries to trade in some movies. Another associate tells him he can exchange for the same titles because they are open. But, since he doesn't have a receipt, there's nothing that can be done. I chime in from farther down the CS counter this is for the Upgrade and Save program. Associate then again says you need a receipt for the program. (WTF?) After this associate and mine have a confab with the person trying to print the coupons, they decide to let us go find some movies and then come back to CS. Here's the problem: almost everything they have listed in the ad I was looking for was not on the shelf. The $9.99 titles on the shelf were almost completely bare. I did find five things I wanted, so all was not lost. Funniest part: I received a survey on the bottom of my receipt. This is going to be fun.

It's getting more difficult for me to find titles at competitive prices I want from the Upgrade and Save program, even though the $5 value remains attractive. I haven't had customer service issues like the one described fortunately. If I did it might put me off from ever doing it again.

Correct, but I like to maximize my savings, so I usually try to find the $9.99 titles. Otherwise, I'm paying the same price as on Amazon in most cases, and I wind up losing a DVD copy that I can sell or trade at a local shop. I won't get as much as $5 in trade for it at the local shop, but it's still better than nothing.

I guess I feel like if something is on a good sale, even if it's not $9.99, it's a great deal. I got: Tosh.0 Deep Vs $13 Mean Girls $5 Harold and Kumar 3D $10 Green Lantern 3D $10 Prometheus 3D $15 Going to get Criterion Man Who Knew for $20 on Tuesday with the U&S, and then if they carry Pina 3D at their usual pricepoint for $50 list titles, it will be $30 with the coupon.

I'm not saying it has to be $9.99, but if the price works out the same after the discount as Amazon pricing, I don't bother.

Like Adam, I'm planning on a blind buy of Taken 2 as I liked Taken so much. While normally I would have pre-ordered from Amazon, I figured I'd wait and do the U&S deal at BB and pick it up for $14.99. I can't see a way to do better on Taken 2.

BB's clerks do tend to be slow on the up-take w/ these deals near as I can tell. IF you can wait a bit, I'd recommend waiting a few days for them to get up-to-speed before going in for the U&S deal. You are definitely far more likely to run into issues if you go on the first morning/day than if you go a couple days later. _Man_
