(CC) after a title = New release in the Criterion Collection.

Individual titles included in box sets listed above:

The Henry James Collection: The Golden Bowl, The Spoils of Poynton, The Portrait of a lady, The Wings of a Dove, The American.

Rossellini’s History Films – Renaissance & Enlightenment: The Age of the Medici, Cartesius, Blaise Pascal.

The Disclaimer Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, as always, Circuit City does not guarantee their sale prices in Hawaii.

Thanks for the Roundup!

I was thinking I would pick up Breakfast at Tiffany’s SE but it since the PQ appears to be identical to the previous release I think I'm going to pass. Will likely pick up Blu-rays of Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence and Stargate: The Ark of Truth.

Nothing to buy this week, but I am renting My Bloody Valentine after reading so much about how the theatrical version was "butchered" by the MPAA cuts.

Quiet week for me. I will, however, rent Appaloosa on Blu-ray. Looks really good and I regret missing it at the theaters this past fall.

Thanks for the round up, guys!

Ghost in the Shell 2 on Blu for me. Slow week, even with the sales.
But my wallet needs a rest, and i have plenty to watch anyway.

Thanks for the RoundUp, Mike and Patrick!

This is a slow week for me, too. For some reason, I never bought Smallville season 7, so I may snag the Blu-ray set due to the good price at BB. But, since I already have the other six seasons in SD, I don't know if I want to switch formats now. That $19.99 sounds pretty tempting too! Decisions, decisions...

Gary, I'm with you on the Smallville dilemma. Have all the SD versions, and I don't want to really switch to Blu on this. Plus, while the $20 price sounds great, I've seen so many sets at $15 after a few months, I might just wait on this.

Apart from that, a quiet week! My wallet exhales....

So you won't buy Smallville on blu because you already have the other seasons on sd?

or because the price is less?

No doubt about it, that is a good price on the BD. The dilemma (albeit a small one) is that I store my Blu-ray discs separately from my SD library due to the size difference in packaging. If I buy the BD, I'll have six seasons on one shelf and the seventh on another. I know, I know... I'm OCD! :D

The other variable, and this goes back to why I still haven't purchased season 7 yet, is that IMO 7 is the second worst season of the series. It ended strongly, but there were some pretty weak episodes along the way. IMO the only season that's worse is season 3 or 4 (I forget which one) where Lana is a witch and lots of other dopey episodes. To be honest, I don't know if it's worth shelling out extra $$ for a BD version when I may end up only watching this once all the way through. At this point, I'm not sure I'd rather spend the $15 difference on something else. That said, I will DEFINITELY buy season 8 on Blu-ray. So far, this season really rocks!

I enjoyed Appaloosa in theaters, but I think I'll pass on it this weekend. Maybe I'll be able to get a deal on it this summer.

I actually thought Season 7 was a pretty Decent year, althou S8 has been better. I'm in the Same Boat been getting Smallville in SD, My Wife got me S5 in HD-DVD, a few years back so there is that Stragler, I Picked up S5 and S6 when they were $14.95. Been waiting on S7 now that it's on sale what to do? Add in I like to encode all my Eps to my Apple TV and for my Phone it adds another layer to the decision.

I'll Rent Apploosa and Mirrors on my Newly Arrived Vudu.

That was S4. S3 had a lot of good stuff going for it, IIRC, like Lex on the island and Clark in Metropolis. All S4 had going for it were occasional appearances by Jane Seymour and Jensen Ackles. But yep...S7 was incredibly weak until the final half dozen episodes or so. Even the usually reliable Erica Durance and Michael Rosenbaum couldn't save it.

ANYWAY, nothing this week...again! It's gonna be the same until the 27th, according to my handy dandy release calendar. Thanks gents!

I'm also in the Smallville Blu Vs DVD camp. I'm thinking the DVD though as it allows me to watch it throughout the house and not just in the HT. For TV shows, I like the flexibility to be able to view them at other locations... especially if there are a lot of commentaries and such, I don't want to be limited to the HT.
