The IRC problems is what I thought the problem was. Since I had problems connecting to shadowfire.calldan.org as well. At 6:00pm it refused to connect at all so I used a different calldan.org server (i tried irc.calladan.org). A few minutes later I tried shadowfire again and it redirected me to chicane.calldan.org . I believe I mentioned this when the room was opened back up.
Anyways, I do look forward to the chat when it does go down and maybe by then I'll have a question to ask.

I'm *glad* this is postponed. . .after forgetting to ask them at Studio Day, I wasn't able to make it here. . .
