Is there a petition for Cats and Dogs yet? I know the one for Willy Wonka has over 10,000 names so far, and Warner is well aware of the displeasure for that title in Pan & Scan.
Can we do the same for Cats and Dogs too?

Truly, we can add another one of those opposite phrases to the English language.
To go along with:
Hamburger Steak
Military Intelligence
Happily Married
we can now add:

I was just saying that they need to give all their movies the royal treatment. Cats & Dogs is by far no Citizen Kane, but it still should include the theatrical aspect ratio.
I wasn't excusing them...after all, they obviously didn't learn anything from the Wonka fiasco.

I signed. This is a freakin' joke already. If Warners expects to gradually squeeze out the real DVD enthusiasts, they'll quickly learn how much revenue they can lose.
Simply put: Do NOT buy these awful Pan N Scan versions that reshape and mangle perfectly good movies.
I was planning on picking this one up for my niece, as she loved it, but forget that. I'll go buy her some older title that's presented the way movies were meant to be seen; in their original freaking aspect ratio.
This chat can't come soon enough...

I don't know about others there, but I am a man of my words. I HATE movies in which their OAR was ruined. I WILL NOT support Warner with these butchered titles. I LOVE The Neverending Story, even if it comes out in Pan and Scam, I am not even remotely going to insert that disc in my dvdplayer. HELL NO! F*CK YOU WARNER!
Where is the stone cold steve austin finger screw you smiley???
P.S: DVDshrine wrote a great article about Warner and Dreamworks, please check it out. Nice. :)

I just called Warner Brothers this afternoon, and I got directed to the head ladies answering machine. This is the second time this has happened!! The first time is with Wonka.
Does this calling do any good??
I bet they don't give a rats ass about these feedback calls!
I signed the petition and am now adding the link from my web site.

I saw Cats & Dogs last weekend and walked out resolved to buy the dvd, and wondering if they'd be dumb enough to do the same thing with it they did to Wonka (a movie I did not intend to buy anyway).
Now this horrible news. I will not buy a 4/3 butcher job of any film, with the exception of Kubrick's films which are that way because that was what he wanted.
Petition signed!
It would be so easy to put both versions on the disc.

I prefer not to push the subwoofers until they're properly run in.

Guys, this forum has been noted in NEWSWEEK! Do you have any idea how many people could be looking at this?
In that case, uou really should tone down your language in case some minors look at this post....

Pan and Scan only on a new movie that obviously has an un-MARed version to work from available?
No sale for me on either the New and Improved Wonka and Warner can now keep Cats and Dogs as well!
Fooey on the Frog!!!!
