While the James Gandolfini thing made major news yesterday, also passing away yesterday was Vince Flynn, author of the Mitch Rapp book series.

Flynn was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in 2010, so this was not unexpected but still an early loss at 47.

Yeah, 47 suddenly doesn't seem so young old. I have been meaning to start reading his books, but never got around to it.

    Rest In Peace, Vince Flynn!

Edit - I can't believe I put "young". I meant to put "old". Stupid error!

He was one of my top 2 or 3 favorite authors, he also consulted on the TV series "24". So sad that he's gone...

I missed this earlier. That's too bad. I read his books but didn't realize he had cancer. Term Limits is the first book I read of his, and is still one of my favorites.
