the DLP I just got has these verticle lines that become noticeable in certain frames. I took some pictures......

 

 



 



 

 

See that? It looks like a really thin curtain draped over the picture. Why is this happening?

Frankly, it looks more like interference to me.

I would verify that it appears on all inputs:

HDMI

Composite

Component

RF

and types of signals:

Analog Cable

Digital Cable

HD Cable

Set Top Boxes

VCRs

DVDs

Blu-Ray

with various settings:

Digital Noise Reduction

Sharpness settings

Advanced Menu Settings

its only reared its ugly head twice, and both were broadcast SD. We just got an HD box put in so im waiting to see if it pops up on any HD broadcast. I haven't seen it in a video game yet.
