Trouble with the neighbors and noise (1 Viewer)

I think the big problem is just old buildings. I lived in an older apartment building (more than 35 yrs) for a few months and I could not STAND it. I could hear everything. I could hear when my neighbour coughed, I could hear the water running through the pipes, I could hear footsteps next door, i could hear peoples tv from across the hall. I felt like I was living in a tin can, and was paranoid that everything I said and did could be heard by my bulding manager who I was unfortunate enough to live next door too. (Rotten little bastard, he was).

I am not completely convinced that your neighbours are trying to be a pain (although I would not be surprised if they were just a couple of .......) because my family once rented out our basement suite and the guy used to play his acoustic guitar all night long and we could hear it loud and clear...

I just don't know what you can do.

My vote: Invite them over to watch the movies.

Really not a lot you can do when you rent.
