I am curious where other Toshiba RPTV owners have their display settings after VE/Avia calibration.

The settings for my 42hdx82's early life are:

Contrast 30
Brightness 48
Color 47
Tint -8
Sharpness 60

The setting that surprised me was the Sharpness, which I may go back to check. Any similar experiences?

That sounds about 'normal' to me, except for the Sharpness number which usually ends up in the 35-50 range. You'll probably find that 60 adds some 'ringing' to the right of vertical lines. Try looking at a Needle Pulse pattern.

I'm right in line with what Johnny said... My sharpness is in the high 30's. I actually set my TV up by eye just trying to get an image that I liked.
I was kind of amazed that I only had very slight tweaks to do with Avia afterward.
