Along with next Thursday evening's screening of Top of the Pops: 1977 (thirty minutes long, with the late night repeat of this edition being 45 minutes long, compared to the last few editions of the show being around 30 minutes long), on Wednesday next week an extra edition of Top of the Pops, from October 1973, is being shown (as there's a one-off drama on about the late Kenny Everett).

Next Thursday evening, BBC Four are showing a double bill of Top of the Pops, with two editions from December, 1977, and on Christmas Eve a Christmas edition from the same month. The following week, on Friday 4th January, BBC Four are showing a documentary called Top of the Pops: The Story of 1978, followed by Top of the Pops: Big Hits 1978. Hopefully BBC Four will continue showing Top of the Pops next year, as they did the same thing at the start of this year, showing two programmes about the music on Top of the Pops in 1977.

*****
On a separate note, regarding the lists of artists who have been on the editions of Top of the Pops I've posted about in this thread, they're from watching Top of the Pops when it's been shown on BBC Four, making a note of the song and the artist as they are on each edition. When "(video)" is stated, that means a promo video was shown on the programme. If "(audio)" is stated, that means the song was either played over the Top 30 music singles chart countdown, was heard during a dance routine, or was played over the end credits.
