Here are the fifty (or so) highest vote-getters. As you can see it ranges from 58 down to only 3 votes so all those votes counted.
This may not be completely accurate because it took a long time to scan through all 18 pages but it's pretty close.
If anyone has any corrections about what should be on here please post and I'll adjust the list.

Thanks for compiling the list for us to see, I have been curious to which movies got the most votes and so on, but personally I was way to lazy to go over the thread and count for myself. So thank you for doing it for us! [IMG]

Brian, there are quite a few eye-rolls on this voting list. The one that leaped out at me:
Police Squad 37 and Elephant Man 14? [IMG]

    The Dark Tower

Well it has also been stated that further Peanuts releases wouldn't happen until Paramount sells through current inventory. With the titles they have released already being Holiday titles, it may well be a long time before they see the light of day on DVD regardless of customer want.
While I believe that the poll in all was a good thing, if the notion is to go toward more mainstream titles than that of the actual request, regardless of how problematic the title might be, then the poll, at least in my view, was not a proper representation of what they wanted to know.
As for Friday 7, Paramount has a year before they intened to release the 'cut' version anyway. Granted I don't work in the business, but it seems that would be more than enough time to get to the prints needed to do the film in it's Pre-MPAA bastardization. If not, sub license to a company that will release the futures uncut and Paramount retain the rights to the edited forms.

Also Marathon Man has already been announced, so there's a slot open for something else.

    Where is Targets?
I know I voted for that one and I thought a few other people mentioned it as well. My #1 most-wanted title from Paramount.
Didn't Mr. Blythe mention he submitted ALL requested titles which was about 50. I don't recall him saying he only submitted only the top 50.

I've added Hud to the list. If someone can get me numbers for Black Sunday and Girl on the Bridge I'll adjust those too.

No eye-rolling for me, we're all winners here.
But to indulge myself just a little, THE FABULOUS STAINS beat PRETTY IN PINK? (Homer Simpson voice) "WHOO-HOO! In your face, John Hughes!"
On a much less humorous note, it should be made known that HELLRAISER III: HELL ON EARTH, as with all the other Miramax titles released on tape by Paramount, was only to be held by them for a ten year term, and that is about up. So in all likelihood, Paramount will not be able to release this title. If there is an upside, the older Miramax titles made before the Disney buyout are going directly to Anchor Bay, and they are much more amenable to releasing unrated material. So our lobbying for Pinhead should be focused on them, along with uncut versions of DUST DEVIL and HARDWARE.

Makes a lot of sense with the Hellraiser III. In all honesty it would be best if it were to be passed over to Anchor Bay anyway.
With Paramount's stance on uncut horror, they would have a awful lot of explaining to do with why they released a uncut VHS version of the film, but then, if they were do it on DVD and put a R-version out. That would not be good.

Hey MARK WHAT IS WITH THE IN YOUR FACE JOHN HUGHES???
John Hughes was the best film maker or the 80's, I have laughed and cried at all his movies.
    Regards,

    QUOTE:
What's with all the eye-rolling and animosity towards horror movies? :END QUOTE
Horror is probably my favorite genre of films, I just don't get too excited over mediocre or bad ones from the 1980's.
By the way, I'm happy to see 4 Flies on Grey Velvet & Don't Look Now at the top of the list.

Better Off Dead... is number one! YES! WOO HOO!
    *dances for joy*
Also good to see Four Flies..., Top Secret, Don't Look Now, Police Squad!, and a few others so high on the list. I can't wait for Paramount to release these on DVD in the next few months (starting in 2002) through the next few years. Martin deserves a big pat on the back for letting us choose what we want to see on DVD from Paramount.

I'm surprised Popeye isn't on the list. Didn't more than 2 people request it? When was this poll done? Why wasn't I notified by e-mail that this poll was underway, so I could contribute? All Home Theatre Forum members are registered by their e-mails. It would've been really important for me to vote for my wanted Paramount Titles. Popeye is one I really wanted. Tragedy is a missed opportunity.

I'd love to see "Popeye" on disc. Is it a B title? Anyway, it's a great film in true Altman style. Hmmm... it probably deserves its very own post.
And a thank you to Mr. Blythe.
I look forward to "Four Flies...," "The Conformist," "Don't Look Now"... and hopefully "Popeye"!
