I'll take the same approach and only list stuff I own, and have watched, and here is my list.

1. WWE: The Ultimate Ric Flair Collection
2. Shrek: Special Edition
3. Looney Tunes: Golden Collection
4. Alien Quadrilogy
5. Simpsons: The Complete Third Season
6. Citizen Kane: Special Edition
7. Baseball: A Film by Ken Burns
8. Finding Nemo
9. Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones
10. Aqua Teen Hunger Force: Volume 1

I may end up being the only person that even ranks the Flair DVD on their top 10, but damn it I love this DVD, the WWE did a good job of putting this thing together. Everything is an improvement over the 4th generation tapes most of us had these matches on previously, having Flair comment between the matches giving background and historical perspective was just awesome, and the extras while not bountiful were key in terms of what was there added a lot to the main feature. For instance, in the Flair Vs. Steamboat section 1 of the extras was the match that saw Ricky Steamboat return to the NWA and pin Ric Flair in a tag match to set up the Steamboat/Flair feud chronicled in the main feature. Also some of the extra material was rare and hard to find, so props for WWE on this one. It was a close race though, and on any given day any disc in my top 10 and a few not in my top 10 could've gotten my number 1 vote.

Why Aqua Teen at number 10, it is because of the show itself and the fact that this DVD gets played more than any other in my collection right now.
I'm fine if I'm the only person that has either of these 2 the Flair DVD, or Aqua Teen in their top 10.

My last comment is damn it, now I'm in the mood to make more top 10 lists. Top 10 TV DVDs, Top 10 Wrestling, hell top 10 of anything.

I must go now...

"Not only is [Pollyanna] the most sophisticated and well made of all of Disney's live action films, it holds up the best as well."

It is an exceptionally well-made movie -- have you ever seen The Three Lives of Thomasina? There are a number of small, forgotten Disney-produced gems that I'm very fond of. Thomasina, Those Calloways, So Dear to my Heart, Third Man on the Mountain, as well as the criminally-ignored Darby O'Gill and the Little People. It's too bad low-budget/high-concept comedies like The Shaggy Dog proved so popular, because they've overshadowed some truly excellent personal dramas in the Disney live-action legacy -- Pollyanna and Thomasina chief among them.

1) Superman: The Movie
2) The Accidental Tourist
3) Casablanca SE
4) Solaris (Soderbergh)
5) LOTR:FOTR EE
6) 1776 SE
7) The Bad & The Beautiful
8) Adventures Of Robin Hood SE
9) Mary Tyler Moore Season 1
10) A Little Romance

hard list to pare down.
at least 20 other titles could have changed places and i would have a hard time arguing it.
although i personally love Postman Always Rings Twice more than TB&TB, the latter looks simply stunning and has a very comprehensive bio of Lana Turner on the flip side, so i had to give the edge to that over Postman.
presentation-wise, i would give the edge to The Dick Van Dyke Show over MTM, but i happen to like MTM as a show more, and the a/v quality there is as good as this medium gets.
for the $14.95 i paid on tues, i think The Accidental Tourist is about as good a dvd as i've ever bought.
the extras are worthwile, the a/v is top notch, and the film is simply sublime.

No, you're not even close to the only one to list the Ultimate Flair Collection. This has been showing up on many lists on a couple of other fora. I haven't seen it (not really a fan) but from the specs it sounds like a really great release.

*** ALL LISTS UP TO THIS POINT HAVE BEEN TALLIED ***

I'm trying to keep on top of this as we go, since even logging 25 lists takes a good deal of time.

Feel free to post some comments about certain releases. I'll be including some brief blurbs from the lists in the results site.

1. Alien Quadrilogy - The amount of effort put into this set is simply mindboggling.
2. LOTR: TTT EE - I have a hard time deciding which is the better movie, this or FOTR, but this set features more interesting and fun special features than those on FOTR EE, which I wouldn't have thought possible.
3. LOTR: FOTR EE
4. Fight Club
5. Last Temptation of Christ: Criterion Collection
6. Jean Cocteau´s Orphic Trilogy: Criterion Collection
7. The Ultimate Toy Box
8. Eraserhead - an amazing amazing release. Too bad it's only available on Lynch's site and at a hefty price...

Wow, this gets tougher each year. I had to bump five titles off my list from last year just to make room for the new releases that made it into my top ten.
