Aside from the terrible dubbing, a brilliant film and one that I would hope could come to blu-ray. Any idea regarding elements? The MGM-released DVD doesn't seem to inspire much admiration...

Looks like you and I are the only fans who want this on BR. The DVD copy was issued early in the history of the format and isn't even anamorphic, so, a bit painful to watch until one's eyes adapt. The deep focus shots really could benefit from a high def presentation.

Not true. The thread was put in the wrong subforum (Robert Harris?), hence the lack of response.

One of my favorite films and a definite BR acquisition. You guys are killing me! I was thrilled to see it in the forum thinking Mr Harris was commenting on a resoration.
