John August and Craig Mazin, two screenwriters/producers/what have you who have been around forever, have a lengthy discussion about both Ultraviolet and the state of home video in the latest episode of the "Scriptnotes" podcast. Link here: http://johnaugust.com/2013/people-still-buy-movies Spoilers: They are not kind towards Ultraviolet and the studio mentality behind it.

They don't spend the whole episode on the subject (as the name suggests, it's primarily a screenwriting podcast), but it is interesting to hear the perspective of two people who depend on the home video market for an income.
