I paid $20 a set for the US release and have no regrets. I would not have wanted to wait.
When comparing to other domestic A&E releases, keep one thing in mind.
Do not assume that 'The Prisoner' cost A&E the same in rights fees per episode than 'The Avengers' or 'Space: 1999'. It is very likely that 'The Prisoner' was more expensive per episode to license domestic rights to.

Can anyone who owns, or has seen, the British Prisoner set tell me if the Beatles recording of "All You Need Is Love" is used in "Fallout"? I'm worried that an inferior recording will be substituted (over music rights). However, I've seen no clamor over it, so I hope that's good news.
