I am w/ Comcast here in Atlanta. I am sick of the NFL season being shared w/ baseball, hockey, and basketball. So who here has the all-NFL channel, and how is it? Does it cost extra?
At present, I think the channel is only on DIRECTV.
The NFL required DIRECTV to carry the channel as a condition of maintaining DIRECTV's exclusive rights to the Sunday Ticket package.
Various other cable and digital cable operators have thus far refused to add the new channel, partly because they are still upset about DIRECTV's exclusivity to Sunday Ticket, and partly because the operators tend to favor adding the channel to a premium tier, while the channel hopes to be a basic channel.
Yesterday was the offical debut, so it may be a little premature to comment on the quality of the various shows. For now, many of the hours are filled with old programming from 'NFL Films'.
