A two-disc 'Directors Cut' of Barry Levinson's The Natural is coming from Sony April 3, according to the Sony website here - no other detail I'm afraid, but I rejoice at the news.

Did this movie have different cuts when it was released or is this a newly assembled director's cut?

If I'm going to double-dip, it had better include both cuts, or I'm perfectly happy with what I have.

Did they ever film the book's ending? The film and the book have pretty much opposite endings.
