Um, then why did you vote against it?
Every once in a while, I run into this problem where I can't decide whether to vote for the better film or the film I like better. I made it a recent decision to simply vote for the film I prefer.

In this case, however, the title of the tournament is mindgames, and that's the way I'm voting in this tourney. I'm using the logic in deciding which movie played bigger mind games. That's how I chose 12 Monkeys.

Sort of a tough call because the films operate in different venues.

Twelve Monkeys was probably more perplexing initially due to the predicament of our protagonist, James Cole and the inherent questions of his sanity, and the paradoxical nature of time travel.

On the other hand, The Matrix offers up the intriguing question of how do we define reality, and how do we "know" that this existence is real. [insert Morpheus voice] "What is real?" And that question stayed longer with me than the paradoxes of Twelve Monkeys.

( Flips a coin )

The Matrix ( Which i believe tends to get discounted due to the action-oriented nature of its storyline. )

THE MATRIX defeats 12 MONKEYS 8-6.

ROUND 1, MATCH 2

BEING JOHN MALKOVICH

VS.

PINK FLOYD: THE WALL

My votes: I must Abstain as I haven't seen THE WALL.
