    The price is great...

    ...I would jump on this....

...but the other movies just aren't any good.

I already own the original Director's Cut (Version You Never Saw) release.

I think 3 is the best one. In fact, it is my favorite horror film. Love it. It's the only one I'm interested in getting. I already have the first, and the others are of no interest, whatsoever.

Done! Pre-ordered! I'm assuming the first two discs will be the same ones we've seen in the last two Blu-Ray iterations of the EXORCIST.

Yes, remember, Warner recycles their transfers unless otherwise indicated
    in a press release.

These are just recycled releases coupled with new offerings.

Thanks for using the preorder link, guys!!!

I'm excited about Exorcist III. To my mind it's one of the most underappreciated films of the horror genre.

Interesting, but I guess every film has its fans. It's been many years since I last watched this one.

With this and e.g. Halloween set, I can watch all the films one at a time. I love box sets.

I'll admit that it's not for everyone, but Exorcist III does seem to have been building its reputation in recent years among my immediate circle of film fans. And Blatty is surprisingly interesting as a director to me, between this and "The Ninth Configuration."

I really enjoyed the third one, it has some very creepy moments and i think it plays well as a sequel to the first.

It would have been very interesting to see the original cut of the third film, at the very least it would be great to see some of the deleted scenes as there was a lot of footage, maybe the footage is lost or destroyed, who knows, i'd love to see it.

    Malcolm,

You kind of took the words out of my mouth.
The Exorcist III was very "creepy." I know it marked the return of Damien Karras.

There's one sequence in the film I will never forget -- it involves Damien crawling
    across the ceiling.

Other than that, I don't think any of the films that followed the original were even
    close to being as good.

I remember watching the second one directed by John Boorman and being a bit bored by it all, it had a good director, good cast with the original cast members and Richard Burton but it bored me so much that i cannot even think about re-visiting it even though it's probably been 25 years since i last saw it.

The third one also had the scene with the nurse in the hospital, i also thought George C. Scott provided some real class, he is a great actor who i feel never really got as much credit as he should have for the films he has been in, he also made another creepy and underrated film, The Changeling.

I saw this on DVD Active and , I'll just wait for the 40th from last year price to go down a bit or wait till B&N have a sale.

The third movie, was good and was a better sequel than Hereitic, if you ignore Heretic (which most people do) the third should be the offical sequel just like it is to the novel.

The scene in the hospital at night, one long shot, is about as scary as you can get. That one creeped me out for days.

I completely agree. Exorcist III is the best and one of the most scary horror films ever (pity about the final scenes though).

The trailer for part II is great; the movie itself, not so much.
