I am WAAAAAYYYYYYYY behind on getting this weekend's WRU together. I took the week off from work to get stuff done around the house (for example, tonight, I painted our kitchen!). I have a LOT of work to do in the next 24 hours (or actually, less).

The bad thing about painting at night, is in the day you can see what you missed. Of course i have done some of my best house painting at night too. No kids to bug you!

Ugh. Was up till 3:30am finishing the painting. Luckily, it all looked good in the daylight this morning when I could prop my eyelids open. I live in a 100 year old house...with all the original woodwork (moldings, etc.) never painted. The kitchen (which I painted along with a walk-in pantry) has five doors! A door to the basement, front hall, dining room, pantry, and mud room (to the backyard)! And they all have irregular crown molding!. There is also a natural wood railing that goes around the whole room. So there was LOTS of detail work and it just didn't go fast.

AND...the whole reason for the project (besides being overdue) was that I had a water leak in the bathroom above which had caused the paint to peel from the plaster walls/ceiling. Lots of scraping to go along with the painting!

Ugh.
