Judging from the petition I started to get MAJOR STUDIO silent films onto DVD... ( please sign it if you already haven't @ http://www.petitiononline.com/silentDV/petition.htm )
Murnou's Sunrise (owned by FOX) has over 15 mentions out of 36 signatures. Wings (owned by Paramount) has over 12 mentions. Greed, The Cameraman, Ben-Hur, and The Crowd have gotten high votes as well in the petition (these films are part of the MGM catalog with WB).
It would be in Fox's best interest to release the most wanted silent in their library and the same with Paramount. These are silents that even non-silent cinema buffs want in their collection.
WB already has restored versions of The Crowd, Ben-Hur, and Greed. The Cameraman has been restored just recently.
Also, the rights are kind of blurred for Abel Gance's Napoleon. Francis Ford Coppola, Robert Harris, Images Film Archive, and Photoplay all seem to have some hand in the rights pie. Since the most complete version is absent in the U.S., it would be nice to have the corrected speed and longer cut. This movie deserves to be a Criterion Collection release.
    As for others...
    Disney:
    Song of the South
    Treasure Island (1950)
    The Absent Minded Professor
The Thief and the Cobbler: The Original Director's Version
    Universal:
Marx Bros. films, SE'd and restored. (the older versions have vanished)
MST3K: The Movie - Special Edition
    Fox:
    Holy Matrimony (Monty Wooley version)
    John Ford silents
    Sunrise
    Paramount:
Wings, Docks of New York, Running Wild, The Last Command, The Wedding March, The Covered Wagon, Old Ironsides.(silents)
    Republic:
    Betty Boop cartoons RESTORED
    Get Smart
    WB:
All silents. (even the reconstructed London After Midnight)
Looney Tunes & Merrie Melodies (I am aware that they're being worked on.)
    Columbia:
You Can't Take It With You
    Criterion:
Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors (Home Vision)
    HBO Video or Image:
"Hollywood" Miniseries. I'll pay any price for a DVD version.

If I can make an addendum for my Warner list...

Through their Rhino division, I would like to see a release of all 65 episodes of "Jem!" in a box set with extras.

    Sincerely,
