Jesse's story in TS2 was also going to be a mention on my part; the first time I saw it, I absolutely lost it in the theater; I could not remember any other time that I had seen a film in a theater where I actually broke down and cried. I think there were a lot of outside circumstances about that, but still, to this day, it makes me cry.

Iron Giant is another

Schindler's List.. this is a movie I could only watch twice, have never seen again, not really sure I care to see it again; saw this in a movie theater with a friend.. what a bad date movie

Savannah Smiles - this is a hokey, 1980s, kidnapping-that-really-isn't movie that is so hokey, so corny.. and so poorly acted... but when I was little, the ending got me every time.

Allright with this, I'm not a really sentimental guy but I do tearjerk on few movies

Schindler's List - When he talks about how he could have saved more.

Armageddon - Harry Stamper saying goodbye to gracie

Saving Private Ryan - When Tom hanks Dies

Braveheart - When he cries out freedom, thats the ultimate one.

Dances With Wolves - When they're shooting at Two Socks (bastards!) and the end. Man, it's just heart wrenching. The score is phenmenonal too.

Braveheart - The execution scene.

E.T. - Just the whole tone of the movie, it's so childlike, yet sad at the same time.

A Walk to Remember When Landon goes to thank his father for helping Jaime.

Brent,

don't mean to sound confrontational, but if you were glad when Jack died in Titanic, you just didn't get the purpose James Cameron created him and Rose for. His death embodies everything about the tragedy of TITANIC.

I've listed many other in the thread linked above. :)

The Color Purple- Celie and Nettie being torn apart and the ending, when I realized how much time they lost.

Meet Me in St. Louis- When Tootie destroys the snow people

Dances With Wolves- "Can't you see that I will always be your friend?" "We come a long way, you and me."

Forrest Gump- "Goodbye, Jenny...they're sendin' me to Vietnam."

Steel Magnolias- the scene in the cemetery

A Star is Born- Judy Garland's speech about Norman's alcoholism

Gone With the Wind- Mammy's last speech to Melanie about Rhett and Bonnie..also Melanie's speech to Rhett about Scarlett loving him.

E.T.- early in the film when E.T. mimics Elliot scratching his nose.

Mary Poppins- When Bert is singing to Mr. Banks that childhood is temporary, and the time parents spend apart from their children cannot return.

Charlotte's Web- don't get me started! "Father Earth and Mother Time"

Scott, I agree about STEEL MAGNOLIAS. Of course that scene really becomes great at the end, when Clairee is telling M'Lynn "you wanna hit someone, hit Ouiser".

Also, for me, several points in FREQUENCY. This is probably one of my most favroite movies and a great father-son movie. I watched it last Sunday, as well.

I'm a big time cryer and I've sobbed at many movies. Some of the bigger tear-jerkers for me were:

Cinema Paradiso
Frequency (at the end but especially at the father/son interaction over the ham radio) A side note about Frequency. Everyone seems to think this movie sucks....I love it so much.
The Green Mile
The Abyss

the only movie where I couldn't help but burst out crying, also factoring in the fact that I was only 10 or 12 when I saw it, was Memphis Belle, it's so damn sad, I have gotten to the point for some movies where my eyes start watering and I could cry if I want to, but I am way to macho for that baby crap now ;)

Wow, I can't believe not a single person in this thread has mentioned
Grave of the Fireflies (Hotaru no Haka) yet! What an emotionally devestating movie, I totally lose at the end.

"In 1945, on the night of September 21, I died."

Some of these most of you will disagree with...

The Elephant Man
Schindler's List
The Professional - The end when Matilda plants Leon's plant at the school...it just gets to me.
Monster's Ball - I've only seen this movie once, it makes me so sad.
American Beauty - The end of that.

I guess I'm just a sensitive guy. :)

Richard, you beat me to it, definitely Grave of the Fireflies. Many mentioned AByss (which I agree), but no Terms of Endearment (or did I miss it) ??
