Sonos Soundbar/Sub/Play 1's

Monoprice 4x1 HDMI Switch w/ Digital Coaxial and Digital Optical Audio Outputs

Cisco 4742HDC TWC Cable Box

Apple TV 4


Setup:


Cisco Cable Box/Apple TV 4 are both connected to Monoprice switch via HDMI and Monoprice to TV via HDMI. Monoprice switch is connected to Sonos via toslink digital optical cable.


Issue:


With this setup, Apple TV 5.1 Surround Sound works flawlessly, but Cable Box only delivers stereo sound. How do I fix this so the Cable Box delivers 5.1 through the Monoprice switch?


It's worth noting that 5.1 works with the Cable Box if I send the tos cable directly from the Cable Box to the Sonos, so the Cable Box is capable of delivering 5.1.
