Inanimate objects as characters? Hmmm, smells like a potential tournament...

I can see it now: The Poseidon versus the Swedish Penis Enlarger! That puzzle-box thing from Hellraiser versus Uma Thurman's reel-to-reel tape player from Pulp Fiction!

OK, sorry...

Blake (tough)
Blue Raja (easily, I laugh just thinking about this guy)
Boba Fett
Boo
Boo Radley (begs the question of what's really being voted upon, the cinematic character or the literary one; enough to give even Luigi Pirandello a headache)

Blake - yet another difficult decision! These were both my nominees. The black knight scene is perhaps the most memorable in a movie with dozens of memorable scenes. But Blake's speech is so spellbindingly acerbic that I have to give him the advantage.

Blue Raja - another of my nominees!

Boba Fett - too cool for school. When we were kids, everyone wanted to play with the Boba Fett action figure. Not a big American Graffiti fan anyway.

abstain (no Wild at Heart)

Boromir - but I like Boo, too

Ugh,

I have to go away soon today and will not be back until Sunday night. I am not sure if I will Internet access or not where I am going and will vote if I have access. If possible, I ask that any new brackets started tonight stay open until Sunday night. However, if that is not possible and if I can't vote myself before deadline and anyone of the following of my nominated characters is up: Catwoman, Centauri, Cheshire Cat, Chewbacca, and Claudia, please count one vote for them from me. Pleaase in the future post the list of who is in each competition to make it easier for people who need to be away to vote ahead of time if needed. Thank you for reading.

Jen, none of your nominations are in these next brackets (in either tourney), but are in the next. I'll go ahead and post the next brackets tomorrow night, but not post the results until you vote Sunday night.
Ric, Jim, Angelo, I just wanted to have fun with this. If you don't like the few inanimate objects in the tourney, don't vote for them.

Chris_Richard, I edited to add your votes.

Blake(Glengarry Glen Ross)Alec Baldwin wins 9-7

Boba Fett(Star Wars series)Jeremy Bulloch/Daniel Logan wins 13-6

I hid this uncomfortable piece of metal up my ass for two years. Then, after seven years, I was sent home to my family. And now, little man, I give the watch to you."

All very easy except the last, where neither character thrilled me.
