Hi Charles welcome to HTF.
Can you be more specific? Do you meaning a b,u-ray disc?
If so that would be usually under "audio" or "setting" on the menu of the disc.or you may even be able to simply press the subtitle button on your remote.

it also depends on the disc, some do not have subtitles
