Zelda didn't bring about our Xbox or PS2.......The PS2 came from Nintendo shafting Sony by cancelling the SNES CD attachment(I bet they wish they could take that back now) and the Xbox came from MS's desire to dominante everything.

I think he means the popularity of the Zelda games made videogaming a viable industry for Sony and Microsoft to enter. Not a very teneble argument, imo, but I believe that's what he's saying.
