This is suppose to be good news? A prequel movie and another series created by them? This is the worst news, if that is possible, for this franchise.

The other series is not trek, though it is sci-fi. So, it is not a trek show

I still would much rather see a mixed cast from TNG-DS9 and maybe Voyager too, but it sounds like that's not going to happen.

will never fly. They have no draw power. They have a "click" of fans, but not enough to warrant big budget.

It has to be either the original cast or Picard and crew have to be involved, IMO
