Hello, I am new to the forum however I have been lurking for awhile. I am looking to get speakers for my basement setup in the future and was looking for some recommendations. I really like the Def Tec Bipolar Supertowers although I'm not sure which size. I have also been looking at the Onkyo NR709 or 809 for power. My basement is an L-shape so I think I will have to pick either one half or the other for the best speaker placement. That leaves me with roughly two spaces of 138 sq. ft. or 235 sq. ft. I currently have my TV set up in the smaller of the two spaces. Speakers will be used for music, movies, tv and PS3. I will probably start out with just the towers and then buy the others as I go. Looking for a good speaker that will last a long time and that can go with me if I move to a bigger space. I do want to stay in some what of a budget as well. If anyone has any opinions please post up, even other brands. Thanks in advance.

Please come up with a hard budget. Not one of these, if I can get better quality for a little more budgets. Give us an absolute max and we will try to help. If you can audition speakers before buying that is the best method. If you trust us, then just give us a little bit of time to help.

I think I would go with a max of $1,000 a piece for the towers which is what I want to start with for now until I can afford to get the surrounds. I like the Golden Ear Triton Two's but $1,500 each would be a bit of a stretch financially.
