Hi guys,

We just moved a few months back and I'm getting ready to get my basement theater back up and running. I'm looking at placement of all my speakers and where I'm going to place my A/V components and I'm starting to realize that there will be some speakers closer to my receiver then others. I'm rewiring everything so I'm wondering if there is a big performance difference or need to make sure that each pair of speakers has the same amount of wire for the same type of signal being sent?

Example as in if my left front is 10' from my receiver and the right front is 20' should I make the left 20' also and just hide the access wire or does it not matter and just cut the wires at length and call it done?

Thanks,

Doug

schan1269 is correct, speak wire length is not an issue, it the guage of the wire. 12 to 14 is ideal for good speakers. 12 is certainly better.
