speaker selector question (1 Viewer)

I'm using my old Pioneer VSX-D814 to power 2.1 sound in my living room, and also as the source to send signal to 4 other zones of stereo speakers, each powered with a Russound X75 amp (which has volume control). Seems to be working great with one problem I'm hoping for help with. Is there a way I can listen to audio in one or more other zones without having to have the sound coming through the speakers in my living room? When I turn the master down on the Pioneer, the signal also decreases in the other zones. Is there a different way to set this up? If I need a speaker selector, would that work with the subwoofer in the living room (the rest of the zones only have stereo pairs)? Thanks for your help,

You need a multi-zone receiver.
