I see that the Academy will be screening a new 70mm print of spartacus at the end of the summer: http://www.oscars.org/events-exhibitions/events/2012/07/70mm.html

Is such a print likely to be a contact print off the restoration negative? How does a new print tend to come about for 70mm films in this era when it is starting to get incredibly rare for prints to be struck? I saw a contact print of Manhatten at the academy a few years ago and it was stunning.

Would striking a new print indicate that the new print was also telecined for a different HD master/release? Or if they were to make a new bluray (whether criterion or universal) would they scan the negative or scan an interpositive?
