Greetings one and everyone. I recently put together a new system using my "old" Sony KDF-60XBR950, a Yamaha HTR-5990 and a Denon DVD 1920. But instead of elation over a gobsmacking picture, I was cruelly punched in the soft parts when I hooked up the HDMI/DVI cable (using the HDMI end from the receiver to the DVI end on the TV): The signal had no blue, resulting in a reddish, yellowy smeared picture.

I'm not sure why there would be a problem as DVI and HDMI carry the same video information-- but sure enough, No blues. I tried a new cord and same issue. Then, I switched it out with component cables and all looks fantasic.

Has anyone had this problem or know what could be causing it? At this point, it looks like the TV is the culprit-- or is there something I'm missing? Anyone? Anyone?

Thanks in advance for your help.
